We often walk and stand on our legs without giving it much thought. It follows that in our standing yoga postures we can also take our standing ability for granted. We don't cultivate as much strength and awareness in our legs, hips and torso as we could. This workshop will focus on anatomy, alignment and engagement techniques that help to cultivate awareness and strength in the standing postures of Ashtanga Yoga.
Lizandra has used the Ashtanga Yoga method to recover from a serious spinal cord injury. In the past 7-8 months she has deepened her understanding of what it takes to stand strong in life and in her standing postures. She is excited to share what she has learned with the participants of this workshop
