Deepen your yoga practice with this 8-day Ashtanga Intensive.
- Daily practice builds strength, flexibility and increased body awareness.
- Give yourself a yoga "stay-cation". Deepen your practice while staying at home and still have time for your normal schedule
- Practice with community. Ground yourself in the energy of your fellow students.
- Grow from the focused attention and guidance of one teacher.
- Dedicate yourself to your personal practice
- Experience a sense of confidence at the end of the week.
This 8-day Ashtanga Intensive runs Saturday to the following Sunday, with a day of rest on Thursday and includes:
· 6 Mysore classes – In Mysore class, you practice where you are in your Ashtanga yoga series, at your own pace, in a room with other students, who are practicing their personal practice. Mysore class feels similar to a private lesson, because the teacher works with you one-on-one.
· Yoga Sutra Study in two 60-minute workshops. Starting at the beginning of the yoga sutras and inviting both new and seasoned readers an opportunity to consider Patanjali’s advice for living.
· Two Pranayama & Meditation workshops featuring two simple breathing techniques and one simple meditation practice.
While students will get more benefit from attending the full Intensive, this may not be possible for all students! Students are encouraged to stretch into a practice that is more than they typically engage in. If you come three times per week, try 4 or 6 times a week! Or try adding pranayama and meditation to your current practice.
