Headstands and Shoulderstands with Becky Mingo
Saturday, February 7, 2026, 7am-8am
Focus your attention and develop your mastery of headstands and shoulderstands through three comprehensive workshops, each lasting 60 minutes.
Each workshop will delve into specific aspects of achieving balance and stability in these inversions. Beyond balance, each inversion offers the opportunity to build strength and develop valuable tools that can be applied to other poses.
Ashtanga students may enjoy the in-depth study these often overlooked and underappreciated inversions, which are practiced at end of a long Ashtanga sequence. While these poses may initially appear daunting to novice practitioners, experienced practitioners can gain profound insights and achieve unparalleled ease and stability by delving deeper into them.
We will focus on alignment and building strength. The practice will be lighthearted, engaging, and instructional.
This class is suitable for students with some yoga experience. Prior knowledge of inversions, such as headstands, shoulder stands, and handstands, is not necessary. All participants will utilize props, including blocks, blankets, straps, and chairs. Collaborative teamwork will be encouraged, as it can be an effective learning tool.
Workshop is $30 (free to unlimited members).
