Lineage & Mantra - March 12-14, 2027
A weekend to go deep — into the Ashtanga yoga lineage and into the power of mantra practice. Three days of immersion in the practices that have shaped generations of practitioners: the discipline and breath of Ashtanga, and the sound and devotion of Vedic chanting.

Whether you're steeped in Ashtanga or new to the method, whether you've chanted for years or never before — come ready to practice, to listen, and to be reminded of what's already within you.
Gāyatrī Upāsanā: A Workshop on Sacred Mantra Practice
Of all the mantras preserved in the Vedic tradition, the Gāyatrī stands apart — appearing in all four Vedas and chanted for thousands of years as an invocation of the sun's luminous intelligence. In Sanskrit, upāsanā means "to sit near" — to draw close to something sacred through devoted, sustained attention. This workshop is an invitation to do exactly that. Together we will explore the Gāyatrī mantra as a living practice — not merely a recitation, but a means of steadying the mind and aligning ourselves with the truth that already holds us.
No prior Sanskrit knowledge is required. The only prerequisite, as the tradition itself holds, is śraddhā — sincere dedication to the practice and to showing up as a practitioner.
Come ready to chant, to listen, and to rest in the truth.
Hanumān Chālīsā
Even though it looks like we are going outward — toward something, reaching for something — all of these practices are really about removing what covers what is already there. Written by Tulsi Das, the Chālīsā is forty verses — forty seed mantras — each a complete transmission. Hanumān is the symbol of our forgotten potency: kindness, courage, devotion, the power of love. Qualities already within us, buried under the weight of the kleshas. He reminds us we already have what we need. We just need to be reminded. We will chant through the Chālīsā together, explore what we are asking for when we chant it, and begin to develop a personal relationship with the practice.
No prior chanting or Sanskrit knowledge necessary. The only prerequisite is śraddhā — sincere dedication to showing up as a practitioner.
EARLY BIRD Full Weekend Workshop is $240 (Discount for Shala Members) until January 10, 2026. Individual workshops released on February 1, 2026. No refunds for this workshop.
